The Third Task of the :iconoc-training: :D - a small reference sheet depicting three of Elihal's most-used outfits + a formal dress. :)

----

Outfit 1: 'Standard Army wear'
The standard uniform consists of a strong leather bodice over a long, linen shirt and pair of linen trousers, held together by a sturdy belt with large metal clasps. Elihal's boots are made of soft deer-skin. Her hair tie is a ribbon made of dyed linen as well; she prefers the color blue, which is the traditional color of the Kingdom of Holori. Her earrings are made of copper, shaped perfectly to only match her ears. She isn't exactly into fashion, but she definitely has an eye for shinies (and loot, for that matter).

Outfit 2: 'Battle armor'
Boiled leather (with blue detail) over a chainmail vest that in-turn covers a linen shirt, woolen under garb, and two layers of silk (as to protect against chafing and arrows). Her gauntlets are shined and made of a strong alloy; she wears extra wrist protection to keep her wrists from getting damaged by her bow's drawbacks. Sturdy but thin plate armor covers her legs, and her boots are made of thick boar-leather. She puts up her hair in a tight knot, as not to let it impair her sight (but it doesn't always work: her hair is sleek and tends to slip out of its binds either ways).
In this depiction of her armor, she is stringing up a black polished riding bow - an old and stubborn weapon, but it is her favorite. She owns several riding bows, as well as one longbow, and tends to carry an arming sword just in case long-range combat doesn't work out in her favor.

Outfit 3: 'Formal wear'
Her formal wear is a piece of Holorian high-fashion (though, she does not wear it in-story). She is a (former-)noblewoman after all, and knows how to dress and behave befitting for a court. Sometimes. If she wants to.
Her formal wear is made of several layers of silk and velvet; the top dress is made of a soft blue, patterned velvet, and the red overcoat-dress is made of patterned silk. The shoulders of the overcoat-dress are heavily decorated with golden beads and tiny silver bells, and the outfit is held together by a soft-leather corset. (In Elihal's case, the corset is sturdier than regular corsets; it could probably stop an arrow tbh).
Her head-dress is made of tiny metal plates, strung together to form a 'curtain' over her brow, to let her eyes - covered in fashionable red powder - only just peek through. It is a traditional ornament, typically worn by (unmarried) women from the plains. Her hair is combed back, and her long fringe is tightly wound up in a traditional braid-like hair-style: it is the style women of her family would wear.

Her dress is based on a more traditional dress, of which I posted a sketch some time ago:

Outfit 4: 'Casual wear'
Casually, she wears a simple blue tunic with simple light brown pants that reach just below the knee. Her loose felt overcoat has sleeves so big you can hide anything in it, and is very comfortable. Her shoes are old and worn, but fit perfectly. She'll wear her hair in any style she prefers, but tends to go for her trademark loose ponytail most of the time.

The details and variety of her outfits are just impressive, well thought-out, and perfectly suited for each purpose they are designated for.

Each outfit also has a historical feel- the materials and designs feel based in the historical technology of Elihal's time-frame. Nothing feels too fantastical or anachronistic.

1. Perfect- it has comfort elements, but also flexibility and durability for combat fatigues.
2. The details are just exemplary! The chainmail, the boiled leather with the blue detail, the armor plates and vambraces, plus her boar-hair boots, make for an practical, durable, and effective combat outfit.
3. The overall style, as charcoalfeather points out, really evokes a Turkmen culture vibe, and the details of the curtain fringe of plates adds a detail about the cultural protocol of her society.
4. The casual looks so comfortable and durable, I really wish we could dress like this in our world today!
